Success Begins with Honoring People

Honoring other people seems even more important than it once was, and at Sarasota Management & Leasing, we are committed to honoring our owners, our residents, and everyone who works with us to make sure well-maintained, high-quality housing is available in our community. 

I’m Christy Smith, the operations manager at Sarasota Management & Leasing. One of my favorite topics to explore when we’re talking about the work we do is how we honor people. This has been our philosophy in leasing and managing properties for a very long time.

What Does It Mean to Honor Someone?

Honor is a word that comes with a pretty broad definition. What do we mean when we talk about honoring someone while we provide professional property management services? 

Our company believes that people deserve to always be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of the situation that we find ourselves in. We know that situations can get tense, especially if there’s a conflict between a resident and a landlord or a property investor and a vendor. But if you’re committed to honoring everyone, like we are, you’ll find that even the most difficult and challenging situations can be navigated with grace and humility. 

We know that honoring others is to have honesty, fairness, and integrity in our beliefs and actions. 

Unfortunately, not a lot of companies make this a priority. But we do, and we intend to lead by example when it comes to demonstrating how to honor the people you work with.

Communication is Part of Honoring Others

Communication is key when we’re talking about honoring others. Everyone communicates differently, and we’re always looking for new ways to communicate transparently and responsively with the people we serve. 

For our owners, this means we do what we say we will do. We don’t communicate empty promises and we aren’t satisfied with simply telling you what you want to hear. We take great pride in the opportunity to manage one of your greatest assets, and we’re going to make sure we meet your expectations as we’re leasing, managing, and maintaining your investment properties. 

For residents, this means doing more than providing a safe and habitable home to live in. We are humbled by the opportunity to provide well-maintained homes for residents. A home is where everything starts and ends, and we want our residents to be comfortable and happy in their homes, and satisfied with the services we’re providing. 

There is little in this world that helps contribute to someone’s life than to assure financial success. We’re here to help our owners make money for themselves, their families, and their futures. We’re here to help our residents settle into a place they can call home.
