Scott founded SML in 1991 when he saw the need for more professionalism in the field of property management. He also helped found the Sarasota Bradenton chapter of the National Association of Residential Property Managers and served as the inaugural President as well as a member of the board of directors of the national NARPM association. Scott holds the designations Master Property Manager, MPM, as well as Resident Management Professional, RMP.

Scott enjoys the benefits of living in the Suncoast of Florida such as fishing and boating as well as serving the church, hiking and spending time with his wife Karen and their 5 children.

Christy Smith, Operations Manager, RMP®

Christy joined SML 11 Years ago. She is a Past President of the Sarasota Bradenton Chapter of the National Association of Residential Property Managers. She also sits on the Board of Directors for the state chapter of NARPM. She holds professional designations of Residential Management Professional RMP®/Master Property Manager MPM®Candidate.

Christy’s hobbles are church, mentoring women, reading and enjoying travel with her husband Patrick.

John Goodbrad,

Technology/Marketing Manager

John Goodbrad has been a part of the Sarasota Management Team for over 5 years. He received his Realtors® License in 2014 and started showing properties with Sarasota Management the same year. He has also served on the board, and as the President of the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM®) Sarasota/Bradenton chapter. He now works as a Property Manager specializing in Applications and Leases.

John is married with 2 kids. He enjoys spending time with his family and being a dad. John is an avid follower of Christ and loves to be part of community and doing life with other families. John loves the outdoors and to run and hike. He is also a technology nerd with an interest in automation and systems. John also loves photography and owned a camera rental company before moving into Real Estate.

Frank joined SML in 2014 from Connecticut. He has a background in international corporate sales and marketing as well as customer service to many Fortune 500 companies. Frank’s pride and joy are two beautiful daughters and he loves helping people find the perfect home.
